For Now Poem by Tristan King

For Now

To the Universe I sing
Tonight's alright in Lonely Town
The Cricket's song calms my dreams
When nothing else can
sleepy eyes and
silver moon
Windows weep with summer rain
Two cats and the piano sit idly by
All is still and all is right
There is a brief reprieve tonight
for the one who lives in Lonely Town.
