For Someone Who Say (You Love Me) Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

For Someone Who Say (You Love Me)

I was alone happily single than I met you
Right from day one you'd pursued me, I soon caught an interest
I begun to spend more time withyou
And even lost interest in things I enjoyed doing
But, If I had of known the road we would go down
I would only wish I could rewrite my mistakes
I did love you until that day, you've made me feel afraid
And from that point no more have I felt safe
Forcing me to feel as if there were no way out
I dreamed of true love and happy endings
instead I got A hell that haunted my every existance
As you try and control the many aspects of my life
and didn't care, I'd go against any of your advances
and the many of your wishes
I wasn't for this and I wasn't going to settle
Only to find that you were seeking another behind my back
You've made your attempt to make me feel unworthy
Than later saying you loved me
And like a fool I'd give into you openning the door
For more possible abuse that you may cause there after
The day you've put your hands on me almost ending my life entirely
I would never be able to forgive you.
Until things cool down and I'd find myself needing love
Later after ending what was a rocky affair
