Here I lie again
Thinking of thoughts
That should never be thought
Wondering why thoughts of the future are always
Derived from events of the past
Though darkness creeps ever nearer;
Surrounding all that matters
My mind stays alight with darkness
Drawn from crushed hope, broken trust, and
The unknown
Whoever said ‘what they don’t know won’t hurt them’
Never met you
You are the reason I
Feel—
—Weak, Betrayed, Alone… Defeated
What is there left to live for
When the one thing worth living for
Is ripped away before you can blink
Or worse,
Taken slowly,
Slowly enough to alert you
That what you love most
Is disappearing before your very eyes…
But what can you do?
It’s for your own good.
