For The Good Of Generations Poem by Ogolla Enock

For The Good Of Generations

There comes a time when the conviction
held in a family demands the strength
and zeal of a younger mind.

It's the duty of each generation
to be better and prepare a generation
that will pass the torch.

As black clouds turn gray, look back
at the young minds in your steps
and tell me if that's the best you could.

Prosperity is sustained by posterity
We're ever one generation
away from extinction or elevation.

The future is pregnant and due.
And sure it will not abort nor miscarry
The question is pregnant of what?
