for things that i should have finished by now
i ask forgiveness,
for all my indulgences, the most unlikely of what
being should not have been
i also ask forgiveness
there are joys that crown my hair
where time becomes unimportant
there are sweet thoughts that dwell in my mind
that which the logic of the brains detest
there are memories which should have been buried forever
but which with relish i still remember
those that they say are wrong those that they say
shall destroy
my being, my wholeness, my end bound perfection
for all these
i embrace with all fairness
i shall not say sorry, i shall not ask forgiveness
for in truth without all of those and these that are still
within the commands of my hands
i could have not lived at all.
