Oh my dear
Death is here
Upon this saddening life

So farewell it is
To many of you
Near and far
For tomorrow they say
I die

The fruits and flowers
Are all blossoms
For you to sing and sigh
For memory is a distant thing
That time heals quickly by

Farewell it is
To this computer
That I have written
Over a thousand nights

To this unruly room
Still drenched in smoke
Where I have spent
Years and years
Of my life
