Forbidden Fruit Poem by Philip St. Cyr

Forbidden Fruit

As desirable to the eyes as one can be
flawless as far as the naked eye's appeal
I looked at you with wanting eyes and watered lips
fiending deeply for what I could never have
So I drew close to you and then inched even closer
I first gazed at you and you were pleasurable to the eyes
Then I had to touch you
I felt that you were desirable to the touch,
This left me with one desire
When at first I saw, then I had to touch
Then to see and touch were not enough; I had to taste
Licking my lips I was about to have a taste of you
But, just then I suddenly remembered
that you were forbidden fruit.
