Forced Maturity Poem by Rob G. Gifford

Forced Maturity

Rating: 5.0

it all began as a few simple words
innocent flirtation
unborn divination
wild and free like the birds and the bees
misinterpreted reception
unintended conception
no more than a child herself
now raising one of her own
now he's gone and she sits alone
the baby cries
as innocence dies

Heartfelt. Lots of emotions here in few words. A ten! Sincerely, Connie Webb
