Forces Of Nature Poem by June FeirCruz

Forces Of Nature

I woke up from my slumber and I found I was alone
I went to sleep hoping when I open my eyes you would be there.
My heart did a sommersault for the uptenth time
I do not know how much longer I could go on.
I walk around for days not knowing what is wrong with me
I cry at any moment's notice
And I have this lump on my throat called despair

I want to scream at the top of my voice
I want you to feel this pain in my heart.
I know it is neither our fault, why we have to meet
Separately we are tragic.
But, together we are magic, lightning bolts so sweet
We are like forces of nature not meant to be tamed
And to be reckoned with.
