Forever Poem by Marilyn Saunders

Forever

Oh! to dance just one more time
To feel your arms around me
To feel your warm breath on my neck
You know my love surrounds thee

We've walked the beaches hand in hand
We've laughed at many sights
And then, dear one, we've shared our love in the quiet of the night.

When it's time to leave this world ~ and it will surely be
Our ashes will become entwined and carried out to sea
We won't know what lies ahead, we won't know what's in store
We only know somehow, someway we'll dance on distant shores.

A very touching poem! The last stanza not only stays with you long after you read the poem, but captures the true essence of forever.
