Forever A Friend Poem by Elizabeth Walker

Forever A Friend

If ever I was welcome I knew it was by you
Forgiven and forgotten that’s how you live each day
And told me the same to do
Friendship without boundaries your eyes locked in my heart
I picked the wrong side of the road I’m looking for the button to restart
I must lie in the bed I’ve made and with the man I chose
Life’s not always a fairytale sometimes this is how it goes
Good luck with life in everything I hope it treats you kind
And know that you’ll forever be a friend of mine
