Forever Loved Poem by Barbara Velasquez

Forever Loved

The day you were born the nurses held you back,
You were ready, but the doctors lacked,
So they decided to hold your sack,
Until the doctors came back.

When your sack finally broke,
It was no joke.
They pushed it in and then they poked.
A gush of water the bed was soaked.

Finally the moment I was able to push,
You came out flying in a big rush.
They needed a catchers mit at my tush.

You know, way before then,
you knew exactly what you wanted and when.
You went after everything you wanted,
Until the day we departed.

Your heart and thoughts have it's weird way,
It tells you how to feel and what to say.
Nevertheless I'm here today,
And this is exactly where I want to stay.

I will never let you go and disappear,
I have missed too much my lovely dear.
Sometimes at night I would hear,
A gentle whisper in my ear.

I love you, Forever Loved!
