Forever Our Hearts Remain Poem by Sonia H.

Forever Our Hearts Remain

Forever our hearts remain,
Together in peace and even in pain,
Throughout those storms and rainy winds,
The past joy lies deeper within.

Those days where time flew,
It was all we didn't do,
That made me think I had to leave,
And through branches I had to weave.

So far away,
Yet this distance is the same,
The moon over thee,
We're sitting under that tree.

Years go by so fast,
Though the speed will never last,
For all that will remain,
Is our hearts in peace and pain.

Our memories lie buried,
In the sands which foots scurried,
Our hands together as one,
Raise and set like the sun.

Forever our hearts remain,
Together in peace and even in pain,
Throughout those storms and rainy winds,
The past joy lies deeper within.
