Forget Me, Please Poem by Nixie Q. H.

Forget Me, Please

I used to believe, allowing all the pain to act as relief.
I just let you hurt me...

Dust falls from my mouth, my words might as well be air.
Now I've found my illness, cries no one ever hears...

I'm so tired of the abuse, sick of all the hate.
The lies that you love me, your embrace is just your bait.

Do you think I'm so stupid, that I cannot see your colors?
Black and white and gray, greed and misery's lovers.

Break your voice, break my bones, someday someone will read about you in my tomes.
When they're alone...

Sentences that would bring upon my death, you don't care, you say every other breath.

Blame me for the distance, I have no choice.
You'd kill me if you knew, so I just drown you out with noise.

Listen, no don't listen. I don't want you to understand me.
Enjoy the quiet, I will never reveal myself completely....

I used to believe, allowing all the pain to act as relief.
I just let you hurt me...
