Forgive Me Lord Poem by Franklin Spriggs

Forgive Me Lord

Rating: 5.0

As I set with pen in hand,
I stop to consider why,
Forgive me this day, oh Lord I pray,
For bringing a tear to your eye.

I know I am not the person,
That you would desire me to be,
But please oh Lord, don't give up,
Just keep working on me.

I am trying the best I know,
And I falter here and there,
Others look down upon me,
But they don't know how much you care.

This lowly man of humble means,
Lord you know I don't possess alot,
But I search my soul, and tell myself,
Lord, you are all I got.

Please hear me Lord, as I cry to you,
I need your help today,
I am in this world because of you,
But remember, I'm not here to stay.

I see a kindred spirit here. Well put. May GOD forgive and bless us all!
