Forgotten Yesterdays Poem by Fallen Angel Purrs

Forgotten Yesterdays

The day before today
sun gleamed so bright
I felt the rays
feeding my under-nourished smiles.

Knowing subconsciously
there will never be an after,
memories of the past day
over-shadow my thoughts
like golden-colored clouds.

Reminiscing of you
holding my hand
your kiss - gentle, strong
led me to believe
there will be forever todays.

Words from you lips
collected my vulnerable soul
unknown of my new form -
blissfully lost in your dim forest.

The day after - awake -
your scent - masculine, musky
still present on my sweater
reflections of the day before
override my dreams for the day.

Sitting on the edge of my bed
the sun so bright
feeding my semi-conscious soul
questions of your existence
run madly through my mind -
were you a dream
or a forgotten yesterday?
