When the televangelist
isn't telling you to press
your afflicted parts against
the TV screen for a healing
that will take place
in less time than
it takes me
to nip round the corner to
my favourite English pub
The poet is extolling all
virtue in and of the human
form
Organs, even when shattered,
search for the love
the lust the one
to make them whole
and innocent again
But who'd write
a poem
to sepsis?
I won't
be the first
I'm not that one
M.J., I'm wary of commenting now because PH doesn't seem to be posting my comments nor showing me the comments of others to my poems. Extremely FRUSTRATING because they're robbing me of an activity that I really like!
Thank you so very much, Richard. Your comments came in just this morning. Yes, seems it may be taking a while to publish posts.
I think that Bri may be formulating thoughts about writing that poem to sepsis! Now...if anybody can do it, it would be him or you, M.J.! Let's see who is the first!
REMEMBER those 5 stars I just gave 'you' next time you are driving by with your ICE CREAM delivery truck, AND drop off a few gallons of 'Cherry-Apple-Maple Walnut Swirl' at my home. ;) bri
Cherry-Apple-Maple it is, Bri! Thank you so very much. Really enjoyed these comments.
Ok, I've talked myself, reluctantly, into giving your 'Form' 5 ***** stars. bri : )
IF we were to S T R E T C H the well-accepted definition of 'sepsis': 'Sepsis is your body's extreme reaction to an infection', perhaps we could add 'a terminal condition of an organ caused by it being 'shattered'!
'A person with sepsis might have one or more of the following signs or symptoms: High heart rate or weak pulse Confusion or disorientation Extreme pain or discomfort Fever, shivering, or feeling very cold.
