Free Poem by Anne Marie V. Kennedy

I am scared to think how you've come about
So slyly

I shudder to ponder how you have re-arose
So decidedly

Re-entered my life like a bandit
Who dares to admit he's a philanderer

Tough and thin, wry and loose
Not particularly scared of the noose

Deceitful and cold, shy and proud
But he'd never dare say that aloud

He's skating on thin ice
But far more insidious is his devise

Don't take the bait
It's not too late

Repair your soul and let yourself live.
Free.
