The little boy could not know,
What is freedom,
How can we know?
He only saw birds' flying
That only thing he kept in mind.
The boy is now too old and alone
He watches the world from his home.
Through the window he looks at the birds,
And hear their melodious cheers.
Freedom is now clear and known.
A new form of Salvation.
He understands the meaning of OM
To be free and to get freedom.
Thank you friends. Actually what I wanted to mean by my poem that sometimes 'death' become our main priority and death comes like freedom as well as salvation.
If you mean the freedom in its actual sense could not have been obtained. There are always a few selected persons who rule the major population of common men. For a common man salvation is still there only the masters have been changed. Formerly we had foreign masters now we have local masters. Do you mean birds enjoy the actual freedom, they don; t need a passport or visa for going anywhere. As far as I know the word OM means God. Do you mean God is actually free having no restrictions? If you mean all that, it's a great thinking and a nice poem.
It's an amazing poem, much different from the others! The poem is enigmatic in the sense that it leaves us wondering as to how freedom became 'clear and known' to the 'little boy'. Who is the 'little boy', by the way? 'A new form of Salvation. He understands the meaning of OM To be free and to get freedom.' - Nice to read but difficult to grasp. A 'Poet's Note' at the end might have helped lay men like me.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
What is freedom? aren't we all chained in respect to our bodies and our ideals of thinking that the very essence of our freedom is subject to a universe of obstacles. The boy looks through the window watching birds, he is free to go outside but remains within his established abode not venturing outside because the overwhelming amount of freedom is its own prison. We must be the masters of ourselves to have freedom, we are the captains of destiny. Thank you for sharing Its a lovely work.
