Fresh Poem by Patrick Kaszinski

Fresh

Rating: 4.5

Slaughterhouse pamphlets lay shrew across coffeehouse walls
Ramshackle bits of cardboard foolery
Etched between wedged bits of cardstock confetti
Copied in bulk
Between 600 calories of neglect
Fruity wallpaper never shears in large chunks
Don't remove the staples just yet.
Scruff straight to the stucco

He's divulged the secrets of crass magnetism
Before I've even detailed pizzazz
He carries more
Soft flickers speak bedroom eyes afternoon
Before tawdry prudes scream the opening
Garish small talk
Straight to the barred broomstick hideaway
Blast republic into the stars

Come Home
Cheap allure by the time we reach the hook.
Maybe
Shrill testimonies cop out brazen four-in-hands
Italian interpretation boxed
Silent return before the night is out
Commonplace within the padlock
Discreet mutation of the thighs
Concern yourselves with the shoddy intervals
I'll be right out.
