Friday Night Poem by May Daimler

Friday Night

Don't let me crying in the river bank inside
Don't leave me out in my desperation inside
Don't make a harm of my heart from every side
Don't let this tears drying cold

Save a friday for the last thing I had,
Don't look at another man,
And don't even look at another girl
You've flying too much
Like Icarus and his melted wings
Don't look at the sun, don't look at the others

Save some friday night just for us
Be my Hercules,
Be my prince
And let me be your prince
And your day or night

Don't scratch my tears with your blink
Don't seduce me with your words

Let me falling for you naturally
Let me push your ego away
Let me wipe my own tears

Save a friday night for this man,
Save a rainbow in your eyes
Save my forbidden love
'Tis I begging thee
