Art thou come to bid me
Farewell to that ‘goodnight’
Or to seize me hence and
Before my time is ended?

If my work here is done
And my purpose in Him met
Then, I will rest my days
And follow you eagerly
To that ‘goodnight’!

Or else, desist your endeavor
And state your motivation!
Why art thou come to me?
And by whose authority?

Be-gone!
Trouble me no more
Until His call is given
And His ferry dispatched
When my work in this place
In Him is accomplished!
