Friendship

A friend is one who makes others Happy with his/her mere presence

I went to them
they smiled
I smiled
I was happy
They were happy
I thought they were
My friends
One day I was sad
I wanted them
They were indifferent
I returned heavily
No
They were not
My friends

Another day I saw a boy
He was happy
Happy as a Christmas
Next day he was sad
Sad as a Dark day
I came to him
He said nothing
I hugged him
He cried
The tears of happiness
He said
He found one
The real one
The real
Friend.

Poem of the Day

poet Edmund Spenser

My love is like to ice, and I to fire:
How comes it then that this her cold so great
Is not dissolved through my so hot desire,
But harder grows the more I her entreat?
