How dare you offend,
Those special friends, you, they depend,
And so easily you failed to defend;
They've been so faithful and true,
And that you so well knew,
And upon it a line, you drew;
But now your line has been drawn,
And their friendship made your pawn,
Oh, the trust, where now has it gone?
To bring your kindness into view,
We look and see its true value,
Why is your friendship not real and true?
It's something that you'll never mend,
You must understand why it will end,
But what about the others that you'll someday befriend?
To them, it be unknown beforehand,
Is the way you build friendships upon sand,
To await the very crumble and with quickness you disband;
