Fright Poem by Holly M. Doyon

Fright

She clenched her fists
Filled with fright
Keeping her eyes close tight
Knowing this could be her night
To die
She let out a sigh
And relaxed her tense muscles
The monitors beeped
And the nurses hustled
She unclenched her fists
And laid silently
Feeling her soul fade
Lifting in the air
Erasing the good memories
But keeping the hate
Soon disappearing
Never reappearing
No goodbyes
Or hellos
Just another death
Of a childs hollow soul
