Lord have mercy on me.
For I have lost everything I used to be.
Agony taking over, God I just want to set me heart free.
Let me feel the love within so I won't lose my mind.
Lead me into the right direction so it's serenity I can find.
Break my cloudy days so I can see that ray-of-sunshine.
Lift me on my own two feet because I never want to be knocked down.
Dry the tears from my eyes because I don't want this never-ending frown.
Bring some peace to my soul so I can praise this kind of 'crown.'
Don't let me lose myself in the traps of my own road.
Take all this baggage from I carry on my shoulders because it's my heaviest load.
Create this euphoria for me with all these significant signs and codes.
Help me out and clear my head; I feel like I can't find my own way.
God give me the patience I need to make it through my painful day.
Show me some hope so it's the evil I won't have to pay.

I don't want all my loved ones to feel all this sadness and hurt.
Please get me off of this ground, I feel like my face has been thrown in the dirt.
Bring us altogether so it's only the love we share and grow.
Not all this passion for hatred, this is the one thing I'd love to throw.

I'm keeping my heart with me because it's one thing that wont be taken away.
One day you'll look into my eyes, and you'll see I made it through all my trouble-some days.
