Frosty Night Poem by Marilyn Shepperson

Frosty Night

The night was cold, so very cold
And the stars shone like hard, bright diamonds
A wicked frost arose, as thick as snow
And its' glinting matched the stars
A killing frost; a testing night
That took its' toll of warm life
There is a saying that, before
Something unusual will happen
It will be a cold day in Hell
But what about a cold night
When temperatures dropp down into the Artic
As they did during those cruel hours of dark
And did strange things happen
Because for some, that night was Hell on Earth.
