Frozen Pendulum Poem by Bjorn Visser

Frozen Pendulum

Another day,
a gloomy, dreary Saturday.
It passes, like a pregnancy.
Painful, yet excited at the thought;
what is to come.

Dirty white,
stained with the blood
belonging not to them,
but to a previous, un expected owner.
Painfully they let go.
Each deep dropp tells a truth.
a secret the world,
perhaps not ready to hear.
face.

The thought-
broke my mind.
Sliding down my pale back,
caught between two vertebras.
dangling there,
like a dead fish or a mirror.

Not a pretty site,
then my eyes fell back, and you stood there.
painting my world in shades of grey and blue.
A single brush mixing all my color.
forcing its way back.

Then I noticed,
with a little nod of my head,
the world is spinning.
But I’m standing still.

Painfully so.
Never moving forward,
Never moving back.
Like my mind,
dangling, motionlessly in place

A hooded figure,
covers the mirror.
Barbaric men tear the rotten fish with
once upon a time white teeth.
Destroying not only me.
But the picture.

A poem capturing the painful violent moments in the life. Broken thoughts very well written, Herman. Keep it up. Best Wishes. Naseer
