Funeral Poem by Rhys Cadogan

Funeral

Rating: 4.0

the bitter cold slithering through your body,
every step is like a knife pushed inside.
the pale.. cold body just led there in silence,
then a word a speech, and a song or two.

dragging yourself through this disaster,
looking at the cloudy dark future.
as the coffin is lowered down six feet,
the end creeps closer and everyone walks away.

now all alone with no one to care,
by yourself left in dispair.
just you.. alone,
without someone to hold.

each day of grieving tearing your life away,
keep holding on...hold on!
survive this and you will be ok.
