Gambling Fate Poem by Sharjeel Shahid

Gambling Fate

bought a seat on the table,
determined to win the race like a horse in the stable,
cards shuffle,

my cards aces,
blind bets..
..more trouble,
evry1 on d table pokerfaces,
i raise my bet to double,
community cards..all open in the favor of her trading hearts,
she raises i close my eyes, hope blazes, open my eyes and i call,
trusting faith that i wont fall,
she taps on the table and checks,
i try to read her mind and realise cant trust on the decks,
i throw in 2chips more,
trying to show her that fate at some places is not sure,
she sweats and decides to fold, not to hold.
..the 2hearts she had,
we show the cards, as they face up she knows her decision was bad..
she knew she gambeled her heart and folded when she was abt to win,
if she had called it would have been four of a kind,
the bet wasn't blind,
im just a card in the world.. a joker..
evry move we make.. its poker..
