Game Played Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Game Played

A game played to win,
Using common sense.
Rarely requires,
Documented intelligence.
Many perceive they need verified,
With an obtained college degree.
Being familiar is all it takes,
To win a game played won to do.
Proving with living life to experience.
Most unprepared,
Yet declared to be scholars.
Seem unaware this includes reality too.
Done to leave behind a mind deluded.
Some still believe impressions to make,
Is all that is needed to hit home runs.
