Games You Played With My Heart Poem by Katy Lue

Games You Played With My Heart

Afterward my tears were running,
afterward my heart wasn't spared,
afterward friend's words were not comforting,
afterward I still really cared,
You didnt seem to notice,
or take a second glance,
your hands were on a new girl's waist,
and I was stuck in the past,
my heart truely punctured,
my lungs breathing too hard,
I tried to sleep,
eat,
breathe,
but you and I were too far apart,
I wanted you to come find me,
take me back and say its okay,
to love,
hug,
treasure and want,
but you didnt even look my way,
You kissed the new girl instead,
your smile wearing your face,
not even remembering,
or maybe pretending,
that that hadnt been me the past days,
you played with her hair like with mine,
you talked your smoothness the same,
your body dancing like it did with mine,
was it and is it all just a game?
