Generations Of Love Poem by Elizabeth Wrobel

Generations Of Love

Generations of love, family tales that show,
How true love can last, how it can really grow.
It was written in God's will, the stage was set,
Long before your ancestors ever met.
They were the ones, they set the standards high,
The rules of love they taught their children by.

You've found that special someone, now it's your turn,
From the ones before, each new generation will learn.
You're about to discover what they've known all along,
The secret that made your parents' love so strong.
Your grandparents, a living example through the years,
Showing how true love will survive both heartache and tears.

Today you'll begin to write your tale for all time,
The lesson of love you'll proudly leave behind.
Following your families' footsteps together,
You'll walk hand in hand, down the path to forever.
Opening your heart, making room for God to stay,
Leaving the unknown in His hands as He guides your way.
