Genesis Poem by Mason Maestro

Genesis

The greater light is on the shine
And constellations govern night
Fruit of wanting here they grow
Adam and Eve wanted to know

Appealing voice whence to partake
Songs to serenade the snake
Exile out the gate to the east
Subject to the guileful beast

Enter the rolling water tide
Over the deluge depth so wide
The saved adrift on ark of wood
Above the land where the garden stood

Reset it up but rest assured
The world's ailments won't be cured
They exalted the sold-out papal priest
Instructed by the guileful beast

Defeated while seated on earthly throne
He wailed in secured ruin at His final groan
Death on the tree marked a great victory
The greatest gift given in history
