Genesis Of Redemption Poem by Obed dela Cruz

Genesis Of Redemption

THE TALE THAT MARKED the Genesis of redemptive years,
Immortal beyond compare to the legends of men.
Gladly I share the reason to cast away all fears,
For it is my joy to tell you of this Gift again.

The Greatest Eminence like a babe in the manger,
But whose strength is mightier than ten thousand warriors
And Blood more Royal than the lines of any power,
A Person who can give wisdom above all the lores.

The Radiance of Heaven sent to us in humble frame
While the world was asleep to cherish their hopes and dreams.
And as soon as the morning wakes, things were not the same
As if the Earth was given a thousand glorious beams.

Away the dark in the presence of this Sacred Star
That made the angels draw nigh to sing the first carol.
And though the Anthem returned home to a place afar,
Nearer it became to the hearts of each broken soul.

Hark! Everyone should hear the most romantic ballad
Flowing straight from the heart of God’s Holy Paradise.
So that after all the music and bell rings we had,
We could remember the Light that first adorned the skies.

Begotten is this Child, the Darling of life’s dawn new!
All hail to its glory and splendor in the highest,
For at last, mankind refreshed of this Awaited Dew—
The Messiah, my Jesus given for this world’s best.

When we should think about this embracing Love Divine,
Let us remember that Christ was sent for yours and mine.
