Genietail 06 Home From The Hill Poem by Stewart McKenzie

Genietail 06 Home From The Hill

Rating: 5.0

The feral rages of our predatory heritage
Churn still beneath the thin veneer of civilization
But then we were hunters for millions of years
And have been citizens for only a few thousand
Genes are slow but they learn
If we do not first hunt ourselves to extinction
We may yet become adapted to civility
