Gestatin' In Sprin Poem by Vincent Cibelli

Gestatin' In Sprin

Truth as love fell on my eyes
Driving unhibited in the warm spring sun
The road turned into a path
The fields into food and work
The blue sky my close companion
The earth my mother
The dust her breath my form
And this life the womb of my life
In death im birthed
When all ive know is oxygen and mineral
Other forms will diverge
And my eyes shall grow
Accustomed to changes in the light
I will see where once i was blind
My gestation is not timed
Like 9 months
When shall i be a toddler again
Anew will i need to walk
