Get It Right Poem by Bleeding Heart

Why can’t I get it right
I trip and stumble all the time,
Trying to make sense of what I’ve done wrong,
Try to understand why I don’t belong,
And hoping that for the love of all that is good,
Will someone please help me?
Will someone stay with me?

Please don’t go,
It hurts,
More than I show,
It cripples,
It breaks,
‘Til I can’t stand,
‘Til I can’t breathe.

Please don’t walk away,
I know its hard,
And that sometimes I’m a burden,
But I need a little help,
Because I can’t breathe on my own.
Please promise you’ll stay.

I don’t need a savior,
A messiah,
I just need someone by my side.
I just need someone here with me
I just need someone to hold my hand.
