If you’ve ever taken the drive
Along this famous road at all
You’ll know what I’m talking about
Whether spring, summer, winter or fall
Flowers bloom much brighter it seems
The landscape is unique, let me say
Folks smile much more often
The air is much fresher in some way
State after state as you drive along
The road just gets better as you go
Great attractions you’ll see from the past
So take your time and drive kind of slow
And you must stop at the Wigwam motel
It’s an experience that is truly unique
Yes, when you travel on Route 66, folks
You will find you’re definitely in for a treat!
