Imagine you and I are free to be
And chose to be together,
Embracing life's tumultuous show
Enchanted with the chance to grow.
Imagine redwoods follow our path,
Water beckons close at hand,
Our climb lightened by mountain air,
Our joy complete in being there.
Imagine concerts at twilight,
The shadow play of hands,
The touching gift of melody
I give to you and you to me.
Imagine a breeze teasing your hair,
The smell of fresh cut grass,
Our child pressed tight against your thigh,
I push the whirring mower by.
Imagine love like summer rain,
Supportive and yet free,
If you love me and I love you
Might all these images come true.
1 I'm not sure if Redwoods are hiking behind you two, or if the trees just appear to have chosen to 'grow in a group'/'share their lives' as you two have. st.3 surely there MUST be symbolism here; i 'don't do' well with symbolism! I married a Debra once: Big Mistake! Cont.
Marrying this Deborah (had my love been returned) would have been no mistake Bri. Our religious differences were one problem, but I would have been honored to be her husband and she was and is an incredible friend. I love Kimmy of course, but Deborah? Wow, she's a star in my sky!

I would like to translate this poem
2 st.4 trust a hairdresser's man to speak of the 'old' practice of 'teasing hair'. ha! " fresh cut grass" & a little dog? (or are you meaning " maryjane" aka marijuana?) I like that you had rhyming, but not a " scheme" , you schemer! bri ;)
I was not a 'Hairddresser's man in the 1980's' when this poem was written Bri. and this was a simple projection of a blissful married life, a declaration of love to s woman who was never more than a friend.
