Ghazal

aankho ko mayassar wo nazaara nahi hota
kya baat hai deedar tumhara nahi hota

kya meri mohabbat me kami hai mere yaa rab
kyu meri taraf unka ishaara nahi hota

dil ki tamaam hasratein mar jaati tadap kar
tumne jo mahobbat se pukara nahi hota

manzil pe pahuchti nahi muflis ki mahobbat
tooti huyee kashti ka kinaara nahi hota

akhtar se mulaaqaat ka hota na silsila
ye dil agar khulus ka mara nahi hota

And spend whole seasons on a single day.
The spring-time holds her white and purple dear;
