Ghost Riders Poem by Marilyn Lott

Ghost Riders

We followed the ghost riders
Right down the avenue
It was frightening to see them
And I think it would frighten you

The sky was brightly colored
With ghost riders on display
Were they vicious and mean
Or just teasing us with play?

Molly Turgis wore a grin
It was an evil sort of smirk
Did we have to be careful?
Or was it just her little quirk?

Oh, you should see their home
It gave me quite a chill
Decapitated now with time
Ghost Riders live there still

You never really know
What might be in our midst
So be cautious as you’d be
If you heard a black cat hiss!
