Ghostly Manifest Poem by Sue Williams

Ghostly Manifest

It sails on ebony waters,
Upon the stormy seas.
A ghostly ship from long ago,
Whose rigging is snatched by
the breeze.

Thrown here and there in the rollers,
Scattering a motley crew.
Whose sharp knives are slashing
A monster,
From the depths of the sea,
-- That he knew.

This sea in a misty manifest,
Disappears in a broiling foam.
Leaving us to wonder the truth
of it
As we sail far away,
To home.
