What a wonderful thing is giving
As you can't give someone something
Without in return getting anything.

Giving a smile doesn't cost a penny
In one day you can give so many
Each time you will get it back
Sometimes hesitant, shy or sunny.

When you are feeling down n out
And there's no one to comfort your blues
Just try giving someone something
Be it food, love, or gratitude.

Contrary to popular belief
Christmas is a season of grief
For many a folks are truly lonely
But you can find them if only
You look around with a giving heart.

This is the magic of giving
When happiness seeps into a lonely heart
Spirit of Christmas happens
Some happiness magically comes back.
