Coming from every walk of life
In search of love and grace
We forage in this world of strife
But then we see Your face
But whilst in love with You my God
Living Your chosen way
Not always will You spare Your rod
Or keep us from affray
Through faith, in life we need to grow
However much we lose
Wherever stormy winds may blow
We’re free to always choose
When persecution comes our way
Temptations day and night
Not always will we win the day
Or see the foe in flight
Having Your Son as living Lord
Though drinking Heaven’s Dew
Many may even feel the sword
In service of the few
Throughout the years in Serving Christ
That He be glorified
Many their lives have sacrificed
Many have cruelly died
Worldly honours are less than rare
And blessings seem so few
Jesus’ presence is everywhere
With strength to stand anew
While serving God and Heaven’s will
Before we rise above
Darkness may come may even kill
For giving Christ our love
