Glass Of Water Poem by Robert Sheridan

Glass Of Water

Half-full, or half-empty
It can be brittle, hard
and transparent, drop
it, it doesn't shatter.

Filled section in a
window frame being
hit by falling rain; it
condenses, fogs the view.

Pair of lenses to see
through, except when
sweat rolls off your brow,
not much you can do.

Monocle, or spyglass to
peeping-tom view; get
caught, arrested, water
and bread.

Enclose, or in-case sea
life in fresh, or saltwater
Along comes your cat; all
that's left is a glass of water.
