Glow Poem by Adriane Beja

Glow

Rating: 5.0

How could you hurt yourself with a sharp blade
How could you have stayed log for being painless
Are you that numb? Knowing the pain won't fade
What did you do to make your life a mess

I with scattered thoughts and a broken heart
I asked if I'm good enough, they just glanced
Hitting me with words, aiming with their dart
If I have the knife, I could've take the chance

People had been trying to bring us down
Though we are just a stardust, we are real
And always wear our invisible crown
Be true, because if you won't do, who will?

Your life is the most important thing now
And let yourself be in peace, grow, and glow.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Someone who is already suffocated. She keeps hearing swear, hurtful words from the people surrounds her. But she kept in her mind that, I needed to be strong. I won't let their words bring me down. Take my life. I will live because it is for myself not for their benefits.
