God Entwined In A Man Poem by Tammi Williams

God Entwined In A Man

I saw a man but God saw him first
The power of his words, his strength and worth

I tried to reach him, but the spirit shunned
Knowing all it would take for us to be as one

Lord, I prayed, let your will be done
God refused to intervene so the flesh thought it won

A true godly woman would let this man free
For, we could not truly be entwined together,
until he saw the God in me.
