God Is A Lamp Poem by Franklin Speck

God Is A Lamp

The love of God. Is a lamp unto my feet
his mercy a light. Unto my path
sometimes my flesh trembles. For fear of defeat
I'm afraid of thy. Judgements and wrath. His righteousness is bright. As ten thousand mornings
his commandments. To me he does teach
I shall live by his. Testimony and understanding
his words are pure. Holy. His promise he'll keep. He is a God of hope. Not darkness and gloom
God is the Lord. The master of light
Christ the Savior. A king that's coming soon
rest in his shadow. There is peace sweet delight
