God Is The Judge Poem by Michael P. Johnson

God Is The Judge

Suffering torment on The Tree
Dying for souls astray
Christ came to set the sinner free
And lives to show The Way

Yet still today we walk in shame
Harbouring filth within
Pointing fingers in Jesus’ name
Exposing other’s sin

We’ll show our neighbour’s every fault
Seeking our own to hide
While God’s righteous preserving salt
We cast like fools aside

We say, ‘This one’s a cheating thief’
‘This other lives a lie’
Whilst full of hate and disbelief
As Satan’s tools we die

Reach out in faith a friendly hand
Reveal Salvation’s Light
Through the world must understand
The Lord has all in sight

Counsel neighbours abusing drugs
And those who drink much wine
Care for the whores and feuding thugs
As those within The Vine

Show the homosexual love
Prove to the lost we care
Reveal the only Way above
To others everywhere

Love your neighbour as a brother
Obey The Lord’s decree
We’re not called to judge another
But help the blind to see
